hreso Ministries has been facilitating the formation and capacity building of self-help groups (called support groups) in all the provinces where we work, the majority of these are a branch from our health care programming, in which most are need women are identified, trained in various skills and trades such as tailoring, tie and dye, animal group organization and management, and entrepreneurship. The groups choose what sort on in demand skills and profitable businesses are in their locality and they are supported with an initial start-up capital, usually in the form of tools and equipment or livestock. The majority of beneficiaries in these groups are women. Chreso Ministries also organizes and trains women through church groupings. Profits raised from these ventures are ploughed back into the income generating activities as well as help in meeting the essential needs of the group members.
